From the recording Lead Me Through
My music is inspired by the hope found in God’s Word every day and in every part of my life. I wanted to create a guitar-driven Southern Rock song with upbeat sounds and uplifting lyrics that encourage people, bring hope, and point them toward faith in Jesus. This song originally started as an idea I was playing around with back in 1982, and it always stayed with me. I had other lyrics written for it, but I felt it was more fitting to use the song to glorify God, especially at a time when so many people are searching for Him. So, this song is now being used in His service. :)

Sun comes up on a gravel road,
Carrying another heavy load.
World keeps pulling, left and right,
But God's truth is my morning light.
Coffee's hot, the pages turn,
